Annual Prose & Poetry competition 2024
(for members only)
The theme this year is 'Artificial Intelligence', set by our competition judge Nick Cook.
Closing date: midnight, 29 March 2024.

Brief summary of rules
You may enter several pieces of work if you wish.
The fee is £4 per entry. Prose entries may be up to 1500 words. Poems may be up to 40 lines. Each piece of work should be entered as a separate document, printed on A4 paper. Please put your membership number on the title page, but do not include your name. Details of payment and where to send your entry are on the entry form.
If you haven't received your entry form please contact membership secretary Peter Houseden.
There will be a winner (1st Prize £25) and a runner-up (2nd Prize £15) in each section, Prose and Poetry. Results will be announced at the Harpenden Writers meeting on 3 May 2024.
